The 2019 inspection framework and equality, diversity, inclusion and British values
What's the event about?
Equality, diversity, inclusion (EDI) and British values continues to feature highly in inspection. There is a significant focus on equipping learners to be active citizens who contribute positively to Britain's complex multicultural society. The introduction of 'character develpment' was a significant step in the framework.
Outstanding providers are expected to develop and deepen learners' understanding of EDI and British values regardless of the type of provision, for example education programmes for young people, adult learning programmes and apprenticeships. Outstanding providers are expected to create and maintain an inclusive environment where the principles of equality and diversity are nurtured and where prejudice and discrimination are dealt with efficiently and effectively. They have strategies in place to develop the character of learners to give them the qualities they need to flourish in society
Fully integrating and promoting EDI and British values is an essentuia part of your journey to outstandign and beyond - to be the 'best of the best'. This vital training will help you to be 'inspection ready' and support you to gain the very best inspection outcomes
